It’s the last day of 2019! The last day of a decade! Are you looking forward to the Roaring Twenties? Here’s to a decade of 1920s that celebrates ALL people.  New Year’s is my second favorite holiday and this one seems bigger than ever.

smelling like a pound cake thanks to Hexennacht’s Zozimus. Of all the indie brands I love, I think Hex and Little Book Eater remain my favorite places for good, quality scents!

coming off a three-day fast with the help of Gatorade Zero. Can’t wait to eat during New Year’s Eve dinner!

Some things I’m loving this week include…

Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker. Wood Sprite and I still have ALL the feels. All three of us bawled.

whole days with family

taking turns yelling at Alexa and pranking my mom with fake Hall and Oates songs

Indy’s cracker mac. I’d eat it every day if I could.

meeting deadlines and being off for almost two days

all of the lovely gifts I got this week, including my favorite dress ever and gel pens that don’t smear! We are super excited to try the air fryer my parents bought us, too.

playing holiday songs like there’s no tomorrow. Once December 26 is here, they STOP! I need a new New Year’s song. Hmmm. Honestly with the new decade it might just be a bunch of Glenn Miller.

missing (and appreciating) Indy while he works overtime

enjoying visits with friends and family

finishing up holiday prep

loving watching the dog and cat play (and the cat play in her gingerbread scratching post house)

reading The Institute (oh the feels…)

wearing my Nightmare Before Christmas hoodie pretty much on the daily

smelling like hot chocolate and marshmallows (thanks, Fortune Cookie Soap!)

loving the adorable hot chocolate mugs the science center gave us for free on Member Appreciation Night! They are smaller than my Freddy Krueger travel mug but they’re just so cute that I have been using them for coffee every day since. They look like “ugly sweaters” (but so cute!) with dinosaurs, holiday lights, trees, planets and patterns in stitching on them.

losing a battle between my eyelids and the rest of me, but trying to write everything in advance, including this post, to take a couple of days off

watching A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart version), Prancer, The Polar Express and Die Hard

eating at Schneithorst’s before they close

nursing some stupid winter boo-boos

meeting Krampus, Gryla and a bunch of other winter holiday monsters at the annual St. Charles Christmas Traditions. This year Krampus had his own LAIR, which was really cool.
