I’m excited to share that I have a new post at Teaching Tolerance up today. It’s all about how we need to teach kids about being healthy while not focusing on their appearance and instead by modeling good habits. Focusing on their appearance, after all, can lead to all kinds of hurt and self-hate, as well as bullying; size is also not indicative of health, so that focus is also simply unhelpful.
