If you enjoy Miyazaki’s work, his beautiful animation and wonderful storytelling, I’d recommend you see one of this earlier works that is not as well known. “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” came out in 1984 and while almost all of his works have some sort of a cautionary ecological message (along with other wonderful messaging) within, this one has the strongest environmental message of all of them. In the English version, some of the actors lending their voices to the film, included: Patrick Stewart, Mark Hamill, Edward James Olmos, Uma Thurman, Chris Sarandon and Shia LaBeouf. I hope you’ll check it out and enjoy it.
