Things I Love Thursday

Today I quit Facebook, at least for a while, and so far, I’m loving it. I’m also loving…

Wood Sprite being so easygoing while I’m ill  Letting go of things I was unnecessarily holding onto, like the someday shirts I donated yesterday, and Facebook today  Heating pads. I’m still pretty sick, with some potentially troubling blood test results, so the heating pad has become my new BFF.  Two child-free time periods approaching in a single weekend! That’s more than I usually get in a month!  Odwalla shakes and other yummy juices, which I have been able to keep down!  The Good Witch movie, which was sort of cute, and a nice, modern approach without too much stereotyping.  River purring behind my head as I sit on the floor and work.  Stupid cheesy rom-com movies playing while I work in the spirit of Valentine’s Day  My husband cleaning up a bit while I’ve been sick  amazing sake-orange bath soaks  the Leven Thumps series, which I just finished  sleeping for more than six hours consistently, which seems to only happen when I’m not well

  1. Hi Sara – missing you on FB but much respect for your decision! Sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hope that does not become worrying…will be thinking of you, especially all the awe-inspiring work you do, and your amazing energy. Look me up if you decide to get back on (that’s if I’m still there myself!).

  2. Thanks Tamara, I appreciate your support! I left for a number of reasons, all of which I’m sure you (and many others) are familiar with. The only thing I miss are our IAS and WordStew games! 😦 But between the time wasting and how down I would get after reading the long list of complaints every time I logged in and saw my main page, it just wasn’t a healthy thing to have in my life right now. I will be logging back in sometime to get addresses for my “send something homemade” activity whenever I can, but otherwise I don’t think I’ll be staying on permanently.

It looks like the trouble may be my thyroid but we aren’t sure yet; I have more tests and appointments next week to find out. Some of the worst symptoms are gone from some uncomfortable treatments through medication, though, so I’m at least feeling better. 🙂

I’d love to stay in touch with you; I emailed everyone I had email addresses for when I left last week and should have taken the time to grab a couple before I left (such as yours, Carina’s, etc.). Mine is sarajschmidt@gmail.com if you ever want to drop me a line!
