It’s been a while since I wrote a Things I Love post (inspired by Gala Darling) and I thought I’d do a quick one to end 2010 on! So here are just a few things I’m loving right now…
the hunger games trilogy (I’m actually pretty obsessed, to the point of reading fanfiction once again…) nights out with my bff and our girls
making new year’s decorations and poppers with the aforementioned lovelies
interlibrary loans! can’t praise them enough
surprise thank-you cards from editors that are so kind they make you grin ear-to-ear (as well as surprise starbucks cards)
my killer new recycled journal
my new monster high doll plushie
honey lemon ginseng green tea
a magical childhood’s make mondays magical posts
amazingly delicious natural harvest glow soy candles
secret random acts of kindness missions
working late into the night with the christmas tree glowing at my side
sharing favorite books with loved ones
long weekends with my hubby
love drop
playing pretend magical creatures with my kiddo (particularly when I’m the goblin about to eat her)
wood sprite’s new obsession with growing crystals and eating snow
having netflix again after a lengthy hiatus
paying off bills and being on the plus-side
gorgeous star garland
the prospect of a brand spankin’ new year!
Bear in mind that you should conduct yourself in life as at a feast.
Simplicity is an exact medium between too little and too much.
Life is one long struggle to disinter oneself, to keep one’s head above the accumulations, the ever deepening layers of objects … which attempt to cover one over, steadily, almost irresistibly, like falling snow.
Manifest plainness, Embrace simplicity, Reduce selfishness, Have few desires.
If you don’t pay your exorcist, you get repossessed.
“We live only to discover beauty. All else is a form of waiting.” ~ Kahlil Gibran
